German giants FC Schalke 04 reveal a new home kit, designed with the future in mind.

In the 115 years since FC Schalke was formed in the Ruhr area of Germany, the club have been dedicated to the pursuit of vigorous football and great performances.

Build on the spirit of the people of the Ruhr-valley region, where football is more of a lifestyle than it is a hobby, Schalke have grown, and now maintain, one of the largest followings in the country; a community of fans whose fierce commitment remains throughout euphoric highs and disappointing lows.

As the club prepares for their 32nd year in the German top-flight, their new kit shows a team empowered by heritage and history, motivated by high-expectations, and optimistic about the season ahead.

Working closely with Umbro, a brand similarly driven by the passion for the game of football, the new Schalke home jersey uses the club’s trademark Royal Blue as a platform to make bold design choices throughout.

The torso of the shirt is presented in a minimalist design, with only the brilliant white of the club logo, sponsor and the double diamond of Umbro providing contrast to the boldness of the blue backdrop.

Extending from this proud base, a tonal shattered-diamond design dominates the sleeve for an eye-catching moment of stylistic flair, while the rib neckline improves both on-pitch and everyday comfort.

The all-white shorts again spotlight the royal blue that is so integral to the club’s history, and feature internal drawcords and an elasticated waistband. Completing the kit are blue socks, finished with a white side tab panel and a white Umbro double diamond to the front, which was designed with a cotton footbed and cool zone technology on the in-step.
