Derby County’s new Umbro third kit for the 2020/21 Season has today been revealed by members of the Rams’ first-team squad and special guests from Derby County Community Trust’s Active Recovery Programme.
The third kit’s colours proudly support Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink fundraising campaign. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and throughout the month Derby County and Umbro have joined forces to donate £5 from the full sale price of every Adult third shirt and £3 from the sale of every Child third shirt to Breast Cancer Now.
On Friday 23rd October, thousands of people across the United Kingdom will dress up for wear it pink to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now, the research and care charity. The money raised will help Breast Cancer Now make possible world-class breast cancer research and life-changing care for everyone affected by breast cancer.
Sami Colenutt, Head of Mass Participation at Breast Cancer Now, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Derby County Football Club for supporting wear it pink. The money raised will help Breast Cancer Now continue to make possible vital breast cancer research and care - at a time when they have never been needed more.
A bit about the kit:
Third Shirt & Shorts: Projecting and amplifying the design of an old Derby shirt pattern helped to create the bold new shirt which has a ‘beetroot’ coloured back body and sleeves with black rib cuffs and tipping to the collar. Other features include a stylized two-colour V neckline, raised rubber effect crest, stacked diamond, dropped back hem and official licensed label to the side seam.
The shirt will be teamed with contrasting black shorts, as per the home shorts.
Third Socks: The ‘beetroot’ coloured socks, with black contrast hoop detail, have ‘DCFC’ wording alongside the back and stacked jacquard diamond, as well as cotton footbed and instep cool zone technology.
The Derby County third kit is available from the DCFCMegastore and online at DCFCMegastore.co.uk with £5 from the full sale price of every Adult third shirt and £3 from the full sale price of every Junior third shirt sold throughout October donated to Breast Cancer Now.
